The tastes of this blood orange cake mix are not especially subtle, but are more super sweet and bright. I'm not a huge mochi eater. 4.8 out of 5 stars.
I’m a huge fan of trader joe’s and couldn’t help buying the ube mochi pancake/waffle mix when i saw it at the store.
I picked this up because i knew it was a seasonal, limited edition type thing and because this mochi cake concept is pretty similar to a mochi cake i make regularly from scratch, which can only mean one thing. What trader joe’s didn’t say in the initial announcement was that it would be “hawaiian inspired,” flavored with coconut milk powder. I got soooo excited when i finally found these at my store! The dry mix contains dried lemon and orange peels, as well as powdered lemon juice.
